Narrative P.O.V- 1st person limited
             Characters- Al, Girl at Gas Station, Hatcher, Digit, Rich Wallace
             Conflict- Rich is having trouble talking to a girl that he sees at a gas station, he is nervous about his first wrestling practice of the year, he is worried that he might not get a starting spot on the team's varsity wrestling lineup. He's starts the chapter about talking about a girl that he could write a song about and finishes the chapter with the very same sentence.
             Conflict- Rich has problems talking to his dad about his current spot on the varsity wrestling team. His dad thinks that Rich has a very good chance at having a starting spot on the varsity team but Rich doesn't.
             Conflict- Rich starts his first day at wrestling practice with the team. He gets partnered up with Al, the first best kid in the state in his weight class. Hatcher is Hazing the "rookie wrestlers" by giving them "girlie names". Rich has a problem being the backup wrestler for his weight class at his school, because he thinks his coach wants him to be just a backup and not give him a shot at a starting spot.
             Conflict- Rich and friends are at a party with pretty much the entire school. Al is drinking, Digit is sitting across from Al and next to Rich. Rich has trouble talking to Kim at first then has Digit talk to her for him. Later on in the party, Al gets really drunk and starts throwing Rich around and Rich starts to yell at Al for pulling on his hurt shoulder, while Kim is yelling at the both of them, then digit comes and breaks it up. Al and Rich go home to get cleaned up. Kim asks if Rich is coming back, he says yes, but he never does.
