             I went to a The aim of my participantobservation was to attempt to look at possible reasons for why gaming,specifically table-top dice games hold appeal for people. The scenario is a game that I am currently apart of. The game occurs Monday nightsfor a duration of 4-6 hours. Thelocation of the game is at my house and takes place in the living room. Participants bring their own dice, generallyof all the same color, but not always. The participants bring their character sheets. This character sheet is a photocopy of a character sheets in theback of the book that describes the system of the particular game. The character sheets are created or filledin by the rules of the game. Eachparticipant has x-amount of points (equal to dice) to put amongst varioustraits and abilities. How theparticipant decides to allocate these various points will determine thestrengths and weaknesses of the character that they role-play.
