Ephesians

             In Ephesians the disciple Paul speaks to the church at Ephesus. This book is key to Christianity, and setting up a personal faith. Before the creation of the world, we were intended to be holy and blameless; Paul opens the book by reminding us of the free forgiveness God offers. Paul speaks of how we are forgiven with the blood of Jesus. When we believe in Jesus Christ, we are marked and promised the Holy Spirit, this is his predestination. Paul instructs Christian's to always be praying for the people who are in Christ, that they may remain in Christ. We are given the same power that Christ received at the resurrection, and no one can ever take that promise away. The church is the body of Christ, and He is above all things dealing with the church.
             In chapter two Paul speaks of a time where God was not with Christians, and they lived for only themselves, indulging in the world, but God saved them through his son and his grace. Christians have been raised with Christ, and they will dwell with him forever, and this is only because God granted it to bless them, because there is nothing Christians could do to earn it –meaning eternal life. There was a point in time when Christians weren't saved, but Jesus put an end to that with his blood, and Christians are brought together through him. He came to teach the lost the peace that he has, and anyone may attain his father through Christs' spirit. Now Christians are all one body with Christ, meant to live their lives in praise to Him.
             There is a promise in Christ, and Paul was given the knowledge that even gentiles may partake in it, anyone, not just Jews anymore. God has a designed purpose, which Paul is supposed to make known to everyone, and that is to be able to reach Him through faith in Him, with the help of the church.
