             "Second Impressions of Grandpa"
             "Second Impressions of Grandpa" is as poem that shows the contradiction between memories recalled by Grandma, and memories displayed by objects. Grandma describes Grandpa the way she remembers him, or the way she wants her grandchildren to know him. It is not clear which is the case. It could be that Grandma lost part of her memories, or she willfully distorts the truth about Grandpa.
             A loss of memory could be explained by reading stanza number four, and I quote: " .....Had abandoned her or she had had fled depending on the day you hear the story." If a loss or poor memory is the reason for describing Grandpa as "devil's work", no other attempts should be made in interpreting this story.
