             Wal-Mart strategy is unprecedented by its simplistic approach and overwhelming success. Wal-Mart stores are generally located in towns of five to twenty five thousand. They sell everything from apparel for the entire family to sporting goods and craft items. Wal-Mart adopted 2 concepts in the late 1980's to increase sales and broaden their market base. This was based on Hypermarkets, which are centers with a minimum of 2000 square-feet and sell everything that would include food, and Super centers, which are scaled-down supermarkets. Customers have the opportunity to do one stop shopping.
             Another reason for the company's success is that Sam Walton had a set of rules that he built his business upon. The company's strength of character on the following rules that included committing to your business and sharing profits with the associates. Communications with partners and associates were also imperative for success. Controlling your cost was not only essential it was crucial.
