During this time we cannot forget those who have and are currently serving in the Armed Services. Our men and woman are place in a duty that not everyone wants to do, but because of their commitment to Freedom and to their country they defend for those who cannot defend themselves.
             One can't help but feel a sense of pride for the courage, character and resolve demonstrated by our American soldiers. Their mission, in response to the war on Terrorism has placed each one in danger.
             Challenges and sacrifice has been placed upon our men and woman. While the high-profile battles have already been won, our brave men and women in uniform will remain in harms way for the long haul.
             As the routines of our daily lives continue, let us not forget America's gallant soldiers, as they carryout our nations mission, in forsaken lands and hostile cultures.
             Tiresomeness marked with danger continues to rule the life of our soldier's day. The opening engagement of the war on terror fought in distant lands has not been without sacrifice.
             For some, there will be no glorious return home to country, family and loved ones. No parades. No dreams. No reuniting with family and friends to revel in the accomplishments of their noble deeds.
             Let us never forget our brave soldiers, especially those who have died in battle. Their sacrifice is self-evident. The implications for loved ones left behind represents a mind-boggling concoction of bad dreams, immeasurable pain and emptiness.
             One can only hope and pray that the families of America's finest citizens, our military, will find some small sense of relief in the knowledge that their sons, daughters, fathers and mothers did not die in vain. Yet, how does one come to terms with the agony of such a loss? One can only imagine.
             The war on terror will likely extend beyond this generation. When it will end and the final cost in human lives has no answer.
