The disadvantage of modern technology
             Years ago, a person who suffered from an accident or injury and became a quadriplegic would perish. Currently due to the advancement of medical technology, a person can sustain life as a quadraplegic.The quality of that life depends on the government and the general population of people.
             There have been undisclosed amounts of money put into the research of medical technology to sustain life for quadriplegics. Unfortunately, there are no undisclosed amounts of money put into a fund to support the financial needs associated with quadriplegics. The government supplies quadriplegics with a poverty level of income and state issued health insurance. The level of income received cannot support the necessities of life .The state issued health insurance does not cover many of the under lying cost associated with the medical equipment and accessible modifications for quadriplegics.
             Quadriplegics suffer from many forms of depression usually resulting from lack of income. Many Quadriplegics quickly realize that income is more essential to this new way of life. Without income, they face poor living environment, non-nutritional meals, frequent skin breakdowns from which will lead to infection and possibly death. People with physical disabilities often turn to drug dealing as a source of income. There are several pending court cases involving Quadriplegics involvement with possession of drugs with the intent to sell.
             New Quadriplegics have many challenges that lie ahead of them in every day life. There challenges will be unlike any other obstacle they have previously incountered.They will have many bouts of depression just dealing with everyday common task. Quadriplegics should not have the depression associated with poverty. This life was chosen for them .Thanks to the advancement of modern medicine.
