"What kind of girl would you like to marry when you grow up, David?" Said Lorena. I look out toward the swings, the playground where my friends were playing on. The smell of the cool afternoon, as nachos and chips filled the air. "I would like to get married when I'm twenty four. By then I would have already finished college, I would have a job and then I would like to find that special girl." I giggled, trying so hard not to. "She would have to be funny, smart, pretty, could make me smile anytime, and I would like her to be sophisticated when we grow up. But I don't want her to be like my mom and dad, I would like her to be sophisticated but still like a kid in some ways."
It was high school and I was part of the UIL One Act Play Production. A number of weeks had passed by in the production and the one girl who has been catching my attention was in the production as well. As the play progressed, it hit me like baseball from the sky, this is person whom I have been describing as my soul-mate my whole life since I was a little kid! I sensed there was something familiar about her, but there was always that wonder as to where or when I remember her from. We were close friends, but now that I have figured out the great mystery about her, I wanted to be part of her life as she has been in mine. I told my best friend all about her and how I remember her; we talked for a couple of minutes and told him that I should ask her out.
