Curley's wife was put inside a 6ft. by 3ft. dark cherry wooden casket draped with a silk cover around her skinny body as Crooks and George were in charge of carrying that to the backyard. Slim and Carlton dug and dug this fertile soil until it was deep and wide enough to put the casket in. Not too far away was Curley wearing his nice tuxedo in tears mourning his late wife and next to him was his father calming his son down.
