On September the 3rd, 1946 Meursault was born in France. He had a full head of red hair when he was born. As a baby, he never cried. He was very shy around people and never smiled. He seemed unhappy and ate little if anything. His mother couldn't take him to the doctor since she had no money. His father Joe beat Maman, Meursault's mom, to the point of insanity, leaving little Meursault scarred with the horrid screeches that came from Maman's mouth. The only time he would ever cry was when his mom would when Joe would leave the house after abusing Maman.
             He is now ten years old and moved to a smaller town. Once every couple of days, he would go to the bread store and get a loaf with the money he collected from his work in a factory. That would support Maman and him for a day or two. Maman is illiterate and has a hard time making friends. She usually just sits home looking through old paintings. Life is hard for the both of them, making it by just barely week by week. They had to deal with no heat in the winter and no air in the summer. But life will soon get better.
             When Meursault was twenty, he put Maman in an old people home so that she had a better life than what they were having. She would get regular meals and sports and exercise. Meursault, on the other hand, had his own room. Along with his room came new areas to cover. He loved having girls over, but never really felt anything for them. Sundays were boring for him and he hated socializing with people. On September 4th 1966 his mother died, tragically, leaving him scorned and hurt.
