Question 2: If you pay a salesperson enough money you will have a well-motivated salesperson. Do you agree? Explain your reasons.
Answer: In my opinion, money is not the only element in motivating a salesperson to do or drive an individual to do a job well. Motivation comes in different forms and that it is not necessary to get motivated with just money. In this century that we are living in, money could be ONE of the best forms of motivation that a salesperson would desire best but it does not apply to all salespeople. Different salespersons will have different types of motivational needs based on their needs and goals to a certain task or job.
Having to pay a salesperson enough money to obtain a well-motivated salesperson is absolutely untrue and obviously does not apply to all salespersons even though it means effective to many. There are different types of which a salesperson could be motivated with such as the support from those that they have been working with to give encouragement and the enthusiasm to do better. I have always believed that human factors are the strongest motivational tools that a salesperson or any human would possess. This is because human touches on feelings and that to become a better person, it comes from within oneself and that encouragement from others will ignite the motivational fire inside an individual.
An example will be when it comes to advices and encouragements given by the superior or the working colleagues to do a job well. This basically gives a salesperson a sense of belonging and direction and thus in turn motivates them to do better in their sales. I believe that money is a tangible asset that will only satisfy a salesperson in a short period of time.
