The process of writing needs to be a very organized endeavor. This paper will discuss the four steps in the process of writing and some of the authors experience with his own writing. This paper will cover the steps of the writing process in detail for each of the steps. This is the process you should use to keep your writing consistent and well organized so that it is easier to understand and follow. Using these steps will help your writing become very logical and flow from paragraph to paragraph.
             The first step is planning. Planning is when you analyze your audience, set the goals you want the writing to accomplish, choose the style of writing you will use, and research all of you information. This step helps the writer determine what he or she will write about. The first step of this stage is to set a goal, you need to be sure of your objective to begin planning your writing. Next you analyze your audience so that you know who you are writing for, this will influence your style of writing.
             The second step in the writing process is organizing. In this stage the writer gathers all their thoughts and information and arranges them systematically to form an outline. Outlines help the writer visualize the flow of the information in the document. You can also make lists or brainstorm.
             The next stage is drafting. This is when the document starts to actually be written. The writer produces a rough copy of the document. The writer doesn't worry too much about things like spelling and punctuation at this point because this is not the final copy. The main motive of this step is to get everything down on paper as easily as possible. It is important to engage in a risk-free exploration of the subject matter. Once the draft is completed it should have a structure with a recognizable beginning, middle and ending.
