Set up an experimental apparatus for the frogs and toads to be exposed to the humid and dry conditions. Relative humidity gauges should be places in each experimental condition, try to keep these gauges at about 90-93% relative humidity levels, while the dry frogs will be exposed to normal conditions within the laboratory (for this test the Relative Humidity Level was 52%). Leave the frogs and toads in their respective conditions for approximately one hour. Beforehand though make sure that the frogs and toads have been thoroughly hydrated by placing them in water deep enough to completely cover them for at least one hour. If possible, try to expel any urine from each animal's bladder by putting a small amount of pressure on the lower abdomen. Take an empty container & place it on a scale, make sure to set the scale to 0 while the container is on the scales platform. After the scale has been set, take one at a time a frog/toad & place it in the container. Place the container back onto the scale (that should have already been set to 0) and take the frogs/toads weight. Next remove the frog/toad from the container & place them into the screen cages.
