Some private schools try to recruit kids to come to their school to play a particular sport. Public schools cannot do that because where the students live determines which school they will go to, but it does not matter where private school students live because they come from all over to go to that school. For the most part athletics at public schools and at private schools are pretty equal. In conclusion, the athletics at both public schools and private schools are comparable because of the equal number of athletes at both types of schools.
