The Changing Workplace: A Plagiarism Activity
             When writing papers for assignments it is important to properly cite references that are used to write those papers. In this activity we will use a 'checklist' to check for any possible plagiarism issues. We then will explore two different examples of presenting an article using a previous source, one in summary and one in paraphrase, with each properly citing the authors of the original article.
             1. What type of source is the information from? Common knowledge, someone else's information or writer's information
             2. If quoted, is it exact? Wording and punctuation; did you include [] for omitted words?
             3. Are you paraphrasing? Did you use your own words and sentence structure?
             4. Are you summarizing? Is your summarization accurate to the sources information?
             5. Have you acknowledged every use of other's information? In paper and reference list
             6. Does Reference list include all cited work?
             8. Did you document sources for all images, graphs, etc. including correct URL
             There have been some distinct changes in the workplace over the past two centuries. During the 20th century, many individuals would only have one job or employer over the course of their entire lifetime. Employees would fully expect to work diligently over the years, in exchange for retirement with the company. This changed in the 21st century, where people began switching jobs and sometimes their entire career direction, during their working lives.
             Another difference between careers in these two different centuries is advancement style.
