Throughout the course of history, from ancient to modern times, the fight by women for different rights remained constant. Although the path was filled with many obstacles, which were all against them, women continued to work to overcome to win more equal treatment in society. As discussed in all the documents, women have set goals, filed complaints, and looked to help each other for the success of their campaigns. Despite the cultural, social, and economical barriers that women had to overcome, their drive for equal treatment never was shaken nor caused them to hold back. It became self evident that because of their persistent efforts, they gradually began gaining more and more rights. For example, the earliest writings of woman rights movement in Document 4 "Lessons for a Woman" described is an instructional manual for feminine behavior depicting them as being subservient and mere shadows to the parents-in-law. However, as shown in Document 2, From the Woman's Charter, talk changed over time from teaching one how to behave to demanding and fighting for equal rights with men. Although the rights of women were greatly increased, the strive was not successful enough for the time being as shown in Document 6, the most recent one. For women still suffer in all situations of conflict and are still sustainers of life in the home and family, and are still not allowed to gain activities in the try for peace. Still treated unfairly for the time and still complaining a woman was still of lower class level than a man. To better understand this topic and to fully comprehend this concept of the fight for women's rights, one would need an additional document about the daily life of a woman, in the work office, in present day America.
