Galbraith's idea running Economist works better in the 21st century than Marx because he believe that capital is not personal, it is a society and Galbraith believed capital is personal. Galbraith said capital is a personal power, but a power that an individual should used in a socially responsible way. Marx's idea will not aid an individual capital because an individual is working to benefited the society, but not fort himself. In America an individual will have to work hard tog et far in life. Also an individual will most likely put themselves first before society. Galbraith believed that if an individual capital is successful therefore, the capital of society will also be successful.
Marx's idea will not work in the 21st century because he believes that an individual should work to improved society. Also, Marx break it down into two categories; the bourgeoisie-who owned property and the proletariat- who owned nothing, but wok to produced wealth. In America, we do have people that fit into these two categories. Marx did not talk about opportunity or chances that an individual have unlike Galbraith. All he mentioned was that for an privilege person he or she must work hard to help to improve society. Although, it does not make sense because why would an indivual would want to work hard to improved soeity when they're struggling themselves.
Unlike Galbraith, he mentioned that America should focus on genuine needs and take care of them immediately. He's concerned about the fresh air the environment, and the housing for the people. He talks about how America concentrate on other things that are just a waste of time. Galbraith's idea would be more likely to be successful in the 21st century because he talks about how Americans people can improved.
