Antigone is an astounding character. She he has pros and cons, all which are brought out in the play Antigone, written by Sophocles. Antigone is basically about the tragedy of a young woman who must deal with the loss of her brother. She buries her brother, Polyneices, and must deal with the consequences from the king Creon. "Polyneices, I say, is to have no burial: no man is to touch him or say the least prayer for him; he shall lie on the plain, unburied; and the birds and the scavenging dogs can do with him whatever they like... You will give no support to whoever breaks this law." Antigone, realizing the truth, has done something very bad. She did it because she believed no matter what her brother did, he deserved a proper burial. Creon believes her acts to be imposturous and outrageous and absolutely unacceptable. I believe otherwise. She was very right to do what she did because she loved her brother, she hated the king, but most importantly she felt it was unmoral and just wrong.
             Despite what her brother ever did to her or her kingdom, she loved him. You could see that in her emotions in the play. She timelessly expressed her feelings to Creon, and her sister. She loved her brother so much, and she knew Creon was making a mistake. She didn't care. She was prepared to take the fall, even die for what she did. "Creon, what more do you want than my death...Then I beg you: Kill me."
             You can tell in her tone of voice that she hates Creon to the point of unbearable explosion. She sees his acts as intolerable and very, very wrong. She could argue with him until the end of time. He feels and expresses the same feelings she has towards her. They despise each other. The only difference was that Creon was the king, and she wasn't.
