            Cooperative learning can be defined as the participation of students in small group activities that promote positive interaction. I think that students in cooperative learning groups tend to have higher academic test scores, greater self-esteem, and greater comprehension of the skills they are studying Johnson, Johnson in working towards a common goal, students support and learn from each other academically and socially which I believe is what is needed in school now. Each group member shares in the responsibility for the success of the overall group.
             Cooperative learning techniques can be used effectively to encourage positive student-student interaction. Students who work together develop social skills, learn how
             to problem solve, negotiate and be kind to each other. Cooperative learning puts student together to solve problems or discuss concepts that leads to greater understandings. Group activities also give students better social skills. Group work can be out of class projects, Groups can be either those students who happen to be sitting together or assigned by the teacher for social activities.
             I believe Peer editing is a must for students. To the extent that students learn to edit their own papers and papers from their peers, teachers will become free from one less thing they need to worry about. Being Free from editing responsibilities, teachers will again be able to concentrate on family and self and to do what teachers really should do with time set aside and focus on what is important which is creative lesson preparation.
