the right to die

When someone is impossible to recover or get better, should doctors help to end their lives? It's the subject that people have strong feeling about. Many people have argued for or against it. Nevertheless, mercy killing is still illegal in most of area today. I strongly object to this law because when there is no hope to restore, patients are able to choose to die themselves; mercy killing is respected to the their lives.
When people have incurable illness, why not end their physiological functions. If they can choose euthanasia, they don't have to do the useless struggling, and the pressure on them must be lighter. Moreover, they can enjoy their last journey of their lives rather than worried about suffering. Although patients can have palliative care, but there is really no point to force them to prolong the suffering. Medicine aims at preventing and healing disease. Basically, it helps people to get back on their normal lives when they are sick. Medical care should be withdrawn once it can't achieve its purpose. Also, their family and doctors should not feel moral guilty about giving euthanasia to the dying persons.
Many people have an ethical debate about euthanasia not respecting the life; actually, they haven't really realized the spirit of life. Respecting life is to enjoy life rather than to simply prolong irremediable life. For example, if you became a vegetable now, did you like to live unconscious for your rest of the life or die in euthanasia? I think most people will choose to die because that body lies on the bed is not you anymore. Furthermore, that body is not even a complete human being, so actually killing them is to relieve them from the suffering. If moral precept is greater than everything, people's lives will be stifled. "What's done can not be undone," said by Shakespeare, which means that people have to die anyway; no one can escape from it.
