Firms place a high premium on workers with tertiary education as evidenced by their much higher wages compared to workers with less education. In industries where skill constraints were faced, sales in those industries were shown to have increased on average by 11% once those constraints were eased. Therefore, tertiary education must be accelerated to produce well-equipped and skillful workers, thereby boosting production. Resolving the Skills Gap, Technological Gap and the Investment Climate of the country need to be addressed in order to attain Vision 2020.
