ther paper we had to write was an autobiographical narrative, which lets a writer write about something significant that happened in his or her own life. "Then instead of stating up front in a thesis, you can let it unfold in story like fashion" (AB 152). This assignment let me explore my past and write a great lesson about how if you do something bad to someone then eventually it will come back around and some one will do the same to you. This paper let me think as a writer, by leading my audience through a tangle of webs portrayed in a true story. The frustration of this was to let the thesis unfold, rather then to write it out. After reading over the story a few times I realized it would be easier to put a thesis at the end to tie up all the loose ends that I might have left my audience in. This assignment really helped me in proof reading and editing my own work.
             The purpose of all this writing was to discover what exactly all the different styles of writing there actually are and how to use them in effective ways. Even though it was more frustrating then trying to teach a puppy to go to the bathroom outside. I discovered the true purpose of this course to me, and how to write many different styles of writing and the process of writing them.
             The second biggest frustration was how to write to a specific audience. When I came into this class I thought the audience was everyone that read my paper. Soon I found out, that I had to pick a particular audience and write specifically to them. This was very confusing to me, but I discovered that it was really not that hard. I think of it as advertising. "Advertisers produce ads to a specific audience, by relating the ad and making it appealing to the audience" (AB 228).
