One day a boy named William was left at Toad in a Cage Castle. The Baron took him in with his maid and his librarian. William could never go to the North Tower. He wondered what was in the tower, but he learned not to ask questions. He knew almost every passage, but every time he went exploring down one he took a lantern but the baron found out. So then he started to use a candle even though it did not provide enough light. One day while William was exploring he discovered a secret passage inside an old gold rimmed grandfather clock. He went down it and discovered that it led to the dungeon. There he found something and his name was Igor. They became good friends. Igor said, "I've lived here forever." William came back after a week but no one was there. Then a person named Islamel came, but doesn't like to be called that. He said , "Tell Igor that the most dangerous night is almost here. He went back because he heard noises. Igor said , "Hold bear good for sleeping." He found himself in his old bed, but he decided to ask Karl the librarian. He said, "I don't know I almost lost my job when I asked about the North Tower." Then William went back down to Igor. He didn't mean to touch Igor's hump but he did. William said, "I didn't mean to hurt you." Then Igor said, "You can't hurt Igor." Then pounded his hands on the wall until they became bloody. He then got the bear and held him tight. William decided to ask the Baron about the North Tower when the Baron came home. William got mad and went to bed because he heard noises except this time they said, "William,William." He also opened the North Tower door and let out the most scary goblins. So Igor told William to go to the witch's house she said, "Give this to Igor it will work. When William gave it to him it worked and Igor was save for another thousand years.
