Faith Reason and Imagination

             UNIV 3581: Faith Reason & Imagination
             When I first enrolled in this course I was unsure of what to expect. I was unsure of what Faith Reason and Imagination were; when it came to the educational realm of the word. I say that, because Faith and Reason seem to have the illusion of spiritual meanings and concepts, thus I could not accept the idea that a course of this nature would be taught at the University. Yet as the course has begun to develop, I see that these words and phrases have more than spiritual and religious stigmatization, they are personal and character defining.
             For me Faith Reason and Imagination express a person's ideals, beliefs and theories on life. But it is more than that; according to Webster's Dictionary, faith reason and imagination are defined as;
             ...faith being a belief and trust in and loyalty to God; belief in the traditional doctrines of a religion; firm belief in something for which there is no proof; complete trust; something that is believed especially with strong conviction.
             ...reason as a statement offered in explanation or justification; a rational ground or motive; a sufficient ground or explanation or of logical defense; something that supports a conclusion or explains a fact; the thing that makes some fact intelligible; the power of comprehending; inferring, or thinking especially in orderly rationale ways; proper exercise of the mind; the sum of the intellectual powers.
             ...imagination is the act or power of forming a mental image of something not present to the senses or never before wholly perceived in reality; creative ability; ability to confront and deal with a problem; the thinking or active mind; creation of the mind; especially; an idealized or poetic creation; fanciful or empty assumption.
