Come Armageddon
             Have you ever had the epitome of evil breathing down your spine, watching your every move, lying in wait for you to give in to it? Well in the novel Come Armageddon by Anne Perry, the group of God's selectively chosen warriors face it every day of their new existence through God. The six chosen are Tathea, Sadokhar, Sardriel, Ardesir, Ishrafeli, and Tornagrain. They have the difficult task of saving the world from Armageddon, and the even larger problem, determining the means by which the war will occur, body or soul. The opposing force Asmodeus, Tiyo-Mah, Azrub, Cassidorus, Ulciber, and Yaltaboath begin with the greatest weapon on their side, time.
             Tathea has prepared for the final battle for over five hundred years. During the first battle against the forces of evil she brought the Book of God to the world and with the aid of Ishrafeli opened it. The first battle was won by the followers of God and Ishrafeli returned to his home with God until he came to claim his mortal existence and fight the final battle alongside Tathea. Since then, Tathea has wandered the earth with her staff searching for the five other warriors who could read the hieroglyphs on the staff and help save the world from Armageddon.
             The first of the five warriors was Sadokhar. Tathea aided his mother in his birth and after his mother's death raised him as her own. Sadokhar's initial calling is to unite the Islands at the Edge of the World, which is prophesized to be the last kingdom standing when the last battle occurs. He decides that the secondary part of his calling is to provoke the evil enough to begin Armageddon during the lifetimes of God's warriors. This decision literally results in him traveling to hell to free Tiyo-Mah and the Lords of Sin; Azrub, Cassidorus, Ulciber, and Yaltaboath.
