             The use of language, imagery and metaphors by the poet has described the absolute love of the son towards his imperfect father. The imperfections of the father causes son to have mixed emotions of both fear and love, but ultimately the love between them is unconditional.
             Author of My Papa's Waltz is trying to describe the affectionate and unconditional relationship of the son and the father. Theodore's presentation of emotional and comic relationship can be supported by his structure and form of the poem, use of metaphors and imagery.
