What is terrorism? Danger, helplessness, and sadness are synonyms for terrorism. Terrorism is something that happens everywhere in the world, especially in the United States of America. The following is my definition of terrorism and how we can constrain it.
Terrorism poses the greatest threat to humanity as we approach go from the 20th century to the new millennium. Terrorists know no friends and recognize no rules. What makes the tactics of terrorists even more dangerous is the fact that they offer no easy means of retaliation. They strike at the time and place of their choosing. They choose soft targets and have no uneasiness about killing innocent civilians in places less likely to be the attention of security measures. They do not need a high-powered and complex army, just a fanatic and diabolical bent of mind, some wealthy financiers and a handful of mercenaries or executioners. One of the most spectacular terrorist episodes in U.S. history was the bombing of the World Trade Center in New York City in 1993 by Islamic radicals. This incident caused anxiety about the threat posed by foreign residents from nations hostile to the United States. People died in the blast, which caused an estimated of $600 million in property and other economic damage. One year after the new millennium began terrorists struck again. This time it was on a Tuesday morning, September 11, 2001. America was under attack in a series of despicable acts of war. A group of men hijacked four passenger jets, and crashed three of them into three famous buildings in the U.S. Two of them in New York were the World Trade Center's twin towers. The two planes crashed and caused the two buildings, where more than 50,000 people work everyday, to collapse. There were thousands of lives
lost as well as thousands of jobs. The third plane crashed into one side of the Headquarters of the U.S. Department of Defense, the Pentagon, where about 24,000 people work at ever...
