ups came around the next year, I told my mom it was something I wanted to do. Knowing I was a good athlete, she signed me up willingly. On the weekends, our team would go to the high school football games together to spectate. Every Friday I would be down in the front row, where I could easily soak up the atmosphere. While my friends were tossing the ball around, I was trying to figure out which play was going to be run next, or asking my coach different questions like how this team scored or why that pass did not work. I always listened to the announcer over the speaker who would repeatedly say the same names over and over again. Sometimes it would even sound like my name.
