             Analysis of Watson's Sleek Advert
             I believe that the Watson's Sleek advert is meant for an older more mature audience. It is not aimed at a certain ethnic group but it is aimed at women rather than men because of the feminism of the product. They advertise that the women should buy the drink however they don't try and persuade the man to buy it for a woman; which could be a downside to the advert. If they had done this then the advert would have been more effective and would sell more of the product, as the target audience would be larger and broader. The age group intended is 25-35 year old women. The light, soft, feminine, colours employed reinforce the suggestion that it's aimed at women. Furthermore the images, style and also the fact that the bottle is in the shape of a woman's body also produce the womanly atmosphere and effect.
             The adverts maturity and sophistication can immediately be seen from the use of lighter colours like beige or silver, which indeed show its sophistication. The smooth, relaxing clouds that surround the drink give the advert its feminine feel and as a result will connect to women and allure them. The bottle is merged with the body of a woman to fulfil the drink being feminine and the idea of the drink and women connecting and almost bonding into one just as the mage implies. Furthermore the advert is trying to bring forward the idea that the drink will take you "to the next level" by having the drink, which is in the shape of a woman, be taken smoothly in clouds to somewhere out of this world. This whole image has several effects on the woman. She will feel comforted by the fact that when she consumes the drink she won't be alone but will be connected or linked in a special relationship with the drink.
