Intelligence fiasco and the accusations of manipulation by American officials, the world has very little, if any, faith in the promises of the United States. It is because of this that the negotiations with North Korean President Kim Jong-Il need to have international origins. Any agreement that arises from these talks must have international authority. By engaging in multilateral negotiations with N. Korea, the agreement not only gains credibility, but the U.S itself who is criticized by the world as being cavalier, shows its willingness to work with allied nations. This will in turn further the credibility of all U.S led efforts in the future to remedy issues of nuclear proliferation.
