I really enjoyed reading the story Chickamauga. Chickamauga was a very sad story. I was not expecting the story to end the way that it did. The story was about a six year old boy who lived on a plantation. One sunny afternoon, the little boy decided to stray away from home and enter into the forest. The little boy just wanted to explore and be adventurous. You could tell in the story that the little boy wanted to be just like his father because his father used to be a soldier in the war before he was a planter. When he walked up toward his home, his home was in flames! His mother was on the ground with her face turned upward, acknowledging the fact that she was dead. I feel as though the little boy was very smart because he was only six years old and he knew that what he had observed was not a goo
