The Greatest Creation

             Do you remember the last time you felt rediscovery in your mind? And what did the scene look like? I can always find my new self through somebody and events. In the way I dealt with different people and things, I found I had learnt a lot and was standing on a new stage of life. I think this can be considered my ¡§self-knowledge¡. The poet Wordsworth has a totally opposite approach of ¡§self-knowledge¡ from mine. In his poem ¡§Lines Composed a Few Miles above Tintern Abbey, on Revisiting the Banks of The Wye during a Tour. July 13, 1798¡, he appreciated and enjoyed nature. Imagining beyond the ¡§pastoral farms¡ and ¡§wreaths of smoke¡ from the cottages, he thanked the Almighty God who had created nature. His graceful creation; the calm, tranquil nature gave the poet chances to rediscover himself, and hints direct him to be what he wanted to be.
             The poem opens with his declaration of revisiting the scene which he had visited five years ago. By standing under the dark sycamore tree and looking over the beautiful nature, the ¡§steep and lofty cliffs¡ appears to him as ¡§thought of more deep seclusion¡. He also imagines the smoke from the cottages might rise from ¡§vagrant dwellers in the houseless woods¡ or from some ¡§Hermit¡s cave¡. The scene refreshes
             his mind and gives him rooms of imagination beyond what he sees. This natural ¡§refresher¡ reframes his memorization and brings him through the time tunnel to his last visit.
             In this long absence Tintern Abbey is always a great memory in his mind, ¡§As a landscape to a blind man¡s eye:¡ (25), he can see it while he is in lonely room; and other towns and cities. The landscape functions to him as a stream floating in the heart, ¡§In hours of weariness, sensation sweet, Felt in the blood, and felt along the heart; and passing even into my purer mind, with tranquil restoration:¡ (...
