seconds at a stop sign to talk, and when I started to go, I accidentally spun my tires slightly. The cop happened to be sitting at a gas station nearby and quickly came and pulled my friend and me over, telling us we were racing, which was a $500 or more ticket! There was no way I would accept a ticket of that size for something I did not do, and after explaining to him numerous times we were not racing, he told me that if I kept lying I would get a second ticket for running a stop sign – which I definitely did not do as we were stopped for almost 20 seconds to talk! I eventually told him I was calling a lawyer, and I suppose he got worried at that point, and let us go. Now, this was the same police officer that happened to show up at my house that night.
