First Day At School

I bit my lips as I stepped into my classroom. I felt the wetness of my sweaty palms as I switched my pink Barbie lunch bag from one hand to the other. Suddenly, I felt welcomed as if the daisies in the summer were calling the sun. My teacher approached me kindly and put me seated. He soon told me how bright I must be as I didn't have the need to attend the ESL classes even though it was my first year of schooling in Canada. My thoughts drew back as I thanked my parents in my mind for those boring afternoon private English tuition.
