Gangster rap an juvenile crimes

Gangster Rap music is the kind of music that really affects the whole teen community. Some rappers write lyrics that teens really listen to and try to copy everything they say and do. Gangster Rap is taking over hip hop music but they are still competing to see what teens would want the most between the two. It negatively affects the way teenagers and even some older people think.
Should music be blamed for all the gun crimes that happened? Some people think it should because of the lyrics. (Jackson) Gangster rap was created by teens or older youth that were rapping in their garage. Making their own beats and writing their lyrics. They generally defend themselves by pointing out that they are describing the reality of inner-city ghetto life. (Jackson). Gangsters have their crazy lives. They fight for their reputations and they would do anything just to rule people. (Witkin).
The image of the ghetto and inner-city violence in gangster rap may have highly exaggerated to begin with. Teens believe that if you are a rapper, well you had to come from the ghettos and you had to be poor and had a hard life story. (Jackson). But most of the rappers were born rich and had a lot of fame when they started rapping and they did not have a difficult life like other rappers.
Teens usually don't think about the effects that those lyrics could cause. They don't think about all the crimes that are going on around them and around the community.
