I think that sometimes you do have to end friendships. Sometimes if your friends get caught up with the wrong crowd you have to let them go. When they begin to do bad things they can start to rub off on you. As a friend I need to stay with them and try to lead them in a Godly path. But that does not mean they will necessarily choose to do so. If they start to do ungodly things, in the long-run, you might be tempted to give in to peer-pressure and follow them.
             I would try my best to help my friend though. If he wanted to stop his ungodly actions and repent, I would be there for him. He might have started doing drugs to look cool to his friends, and not realize what harm he is doing to himself. I could help him grow in faith with Jesus and help him stop. So, if I left my friend because he might damage my relationship with Jesus, and he wanted forgiveness and wanted to stop; yes, I would be there for him. That is what friends are all about. John 13:34 says, "Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." To me this means that we should love our friends and be there for them through their troubled times.
             Romans 8:38-39 says: "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate me from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." To me this means that no one can separate me from Jesus Christ. Not even a friend. This is where I draw the line. Where do you?
