Macbeth

             Analyze the different sources of evil and their relative responsibility for Duncan¡s murder.
             There were only three main sources of evil in ¡§Macbeth¡.
             The Witches: They started all the evil.
             Lady Macbeth: She caused Macbeth to turn evil by convincing him to kill Duncan.
             Macbeth: Once he had killed Duncan he couldn¡t stop.
             Macbeth was the one who ended up looking like the most evil of all because he killed Duncan and Banquot, but it was Lady Macbeth who convinced him to kill Duncan and it was the witches who influenced him by using his weakness. Ambition.
             All the evil, from beginning to end, started with the witches. Some people might disagree and say that he would have ended up in the same place and that the witches just gave him a nudge in the right direction. We believe that this is not the case and that if the witches had not interfered he would not have killed Duncan. Everything that happened in the story was a chain reaction triggered by the witches.
             If Macbeth hadn¡t known the prophecies he wouldn¡t have had all the ambition that he had, and Lady Macbeth wouldn¡t have been there convincing him to kill anyone she didn¡t trust.
             As you should know by now the witches were one of the two influences on Macbeth, them and Lady Macbeth. Macbeth had control over most of his actions but his one weakness was obviously his ambition, which the witches exploited. Once he had killed Duncan he had already gone too far and couldn¡t turn back, so he just carried on with his evil doing.
             Lady Macbeth was the other influence on Macbeth, and the witches influenced her. She convinced Macbeth to kill Duncan by taunting him. When Macbeth killed Duncan he couldn¡t handle the consequences which he had to face, Lady Macbeth on the other hand was perfectly fine about it, but as they got deeper and deeper into their sinister ways it switched around, and now Macbeth was the strong one and Lady Macbeth was the weak one, and end...
