January is the month of new beginning's and celebration. It is the time to celebrate the coming of a New Year with friends and family. A New Year means more opportunities. More opportunities to start over and for fill new promises.
             During January we get together to party and have fun. We usually meet in a warm comfortable house or outside in the freezing cold. The stormy weather of January makes it hard to stay warm, but we still make the best of it. Everyone is having a good time waiting for the countdown to reach zero. At exactly 12 o' clock sharp, the sky fills up with bright lights and the sounds of cheering spectators.
             Not only does January bring a New Year, but also it means the return of school. Kids fill the halls with joy of seeing each other again after a long time. Finals and Tests seem to never end while the days just pass us right by. Evenings are filled with tons of homework and studying. School means the end of sleeping in late and waking up in the middle of the day. You hate the idea that school is back, but you smile because you know you made it through half a year. Sooner or later you begin to wonder about how fast the year just fly by and next year you will be in another grade.
             By the end of January, days become warmer and the cold winter starts to end. As the tragic tsunami incidents and fighting of last year past us by, we begin to wonder what the New Year will bring our way.
