Curfew! Who wants a curfew now-a-days issued by higher authority? Not me. Is it not enough that our parents have there right to issue us a curfew on their own rather than higher authority interfering with our everyday lives? In fact I wasn't even aware of this curfew that has been instituted until I was told that one even existed. This whole curfew issue is a controversy all over the community. The Curfew that has been instituted for people under 18 years of age in Dade County should be abolished for way more than one reason. Curfew limits the time that we have to do things in our own personal lives. Additionally, with or without curfew we still face the same danger inside as we would outside, maybe even worse. Further more, it probably most likely would cause more problems then what the community started without the curfew.
             To begin with curfew limits the time we have in our personal lives in many ways. It would keep us from going to late night events such as concerts, movie nights, parties, family get togethers, clubbing and personal late night activities we have on our agenda's. We'd have to cut our afternoons shorter to get home on time. No more late night stays at the FIU Biscayne Bay library for school projects for those who don't have resources at home. Its more than enough that we spend about 7 hours for an average high school in school starting from 7:30AM to 2:30PM. Some of us don't even get home until about 5:00 PM maybe later depending where we live or when we're released from school, and then they put a limit to our daily life by adding a curfew. Its inconvenient to the percent of us that have things to do in and with our lives Just because were underage doesn't mean we don't have errands we have to run, or important things we need to do for school or personal interest. With Curfew in the way of our personal lives our life becomes limited to the outside world and so does our time. ...
