Owning a Sport Utility Vehicle can be beneficial as they are comfortable and spacious, reliable for traveling or for transportation on a daily basis, and have enough horsepower to go off-road. It can have many advantages to owning a SUV. On the other hand, it can have many disadvantages as well.
My GMC Yukon, for example, is a SUV that can fit about eight passengers. The ample space leaves the rider as well as the driver in comfort. There is enough room for everybody to be relaxed and to enjoy their ride. There is space in the back of the third row of seats for any necessary things like tools and an extra tire. Or for someone that likes music, they can put a pair of subwoofers and it still has extra space for other stuff as well.

The advantages are that most SUV's have cruise control so this benefits the driver. Most of the newer SUV's have four wheel steering and four wheel drive to have a smooth ride. Also, some of them have televisions included so the passengers would not get bored as well. There is enough space for anything that is needed during the road trip.
A SUV can also benefit as they have enough horsepower most of them to be able to go off road.
