At night you like to spend time with your friends, right? To relax, to socialize, to get away from all your problems. Whether you are stressed out or not, you need to get away and when your curfew is not very long you feel trapped. It's like you have no freedoms at school or outside of school. My curfew is until 9:30 p.m. on the weekends, and I feel like I am being rushed. I also cannot have fun with all my friends because all I am thinking about is getting home on time. With all of these constraints, it is obvious that my curfew needs to be expanded.
             To begin with, the amount of time you have also depends on how well you do at school. As of now, I have a 3.4 G.P.A. That means I am doing very well in school. If I do make good grades, then they should know that I do study for my classes and do my homework. I work hard in school to gain my privileges, which includes my curfew. Since they know that I am a responsible student and care about my grades then they should trust me on getting home in time.
             Since teenagers are responsible for their own actions, then that means they are also responsible for their own consequences. When my parents were my age, their parents did not give them a curfew. As a result, they made their own mistakes and faced a lot of different lessons in life. Creating your own mistakes is an important part of life. I need to know what to do when I become an adult if I am in a situation I was in when I was younger.
             Next, my curfew should be extended because there is not enough time to spend with my friends. When I am in school I do not have time to socialize with my friends. I do have time to see some of my friends during lunch and maybe during passing period but that is all. Since I do not have a long curfew then I feel like I am being rushed. I also become more stressed out because I do not get to relax.
