             In any business institution, it is imperative that an organizational structure is identified. This eliminates misunderstandings and presents the expectations from the corporation to its hierarchy of works. In Corporate America, depending on the institution, several structural methodologies are adopted as the ideal organizational structure for that particular company. However, coming in to an environment of established rules, and standard operating procedures, an individual brings a new cultural dynamic to the table. Irrespective of the corporate level that individual is placed, their contribution to the corporation is as important as any other member on team.
             Within Smith & Falmouth's online operations division, the pyramid diagram best describes the formal organizational structure of the corporation. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Irene Seagraves, at the apex of the pyramid, the Chief Operating Officer, next standing, known in this case study as Victoria Boyle-Hebron, then funneling down to the two support teams, the Logistic and Web Development teams, and sandwiching management, the Project Manager, James William Argyle, who directly joins forces with the Logistics and Marketing mangers, Brian Kervor and Adam Searle.
             Irene Seagraves issues directives to upper management, Victoria Boyle-Hebron, who bears the responsibility of distributing the directives to lower management in the departments, monitors the processes of the directives, and reports back upward the chain of command. While using this hierarchal structure, management theorists will argue that this organization utilizes a formal methodology.
