             Many people often wonder why it is important to have a healthy diet. Life at times can be very busy and some people just don't have time to cook. This results in them eating out very often. Fast food is mostly fatty, loaded with high sugar contents and other unhealthy elements. Sadly many people don't realize the downside of eating fast food and don't understand the reason of eating healthy in the first place.
             People that eat mostly fruits and vegetables often find that they can eat until they are full and still not gain weight. Because fruits and vegetables are high in fiber and fluid content, they are absorbed more slowly and satisfy our feelings of hunger more completely. Fast foods are low in nutritional value and are so slow to make us feel satisfied, which is why we eat more of them. Fast foods are often made from refined ingredients that are tasteless and require sugar, salt, and even fat to make them taste good.
             There for if a person is switching from a diet containing a lot of meat and junk food, they will lose weight.
             Whole foods contain much of what is good for us including vitamins, fiber, and the sustained energy found in whole grains. Fast foods are less nutritious and have many things not good for us, such as:sodium, preservations and sugar. These are not harmful when eatin sparingly, but if eatin often, these could result in obesity and disease.
             In conclusion, having a healthy diet will make you feel better about yourself. Most people who have a healthy diet have a higher self-esteem and feel more enthusiastic knowing that there body is healthy. Eating right gives you a higher energy level (because of the foods rich source of nutrients), letting you do more things. And finally, you will sleep better because you are no longer depriving yourself of nutrients.
