Have you ever heard the expression, "It is raining cats and dogs"? Well no wonder many people have heard this saying because it has existed for a long time. Just like dogs and cats have existed for a long period of time. People often wonder if they should have a dog or a cat as a pet. Which one has better qualities? The cat says, "Well pick me because I don't drool." The dog says, "That shouldn't even come up as a question, dogs don't come across as fraidy cats!" Even after these helpful answers, the question of which pet appeals more to people still stands. Let's look at some of the ways such as physical characteristics, species, caretaking, and personalities of these two animals.
             First, we shall discuss how these two creatures have similarities in physical characteristics. Cats and dogs both have hair. When a creature has hair, it belongs to the mammal kingdom. This means that it gives birth to her young. The bambinos drink milk and love to play. Cats and dogs fit under the category of domesticated animals kept as pets. A cat normally has a lifespan of 12-13 years; a dog's life span lasts about 13-15 years. So now, one can see that these two animals have many similar characteristics when born into the world.
             On the other hand, each specie has many dissimilarities. The cat belongs to the family of felines. Dogs, as canines lie on the opposite side of the spectrum. One could refer to cats as solitary, which means that they spend most of their time alone. One could label a dog as pack animal, which means one should spend time with it frequently so it doesn't get lonely. The two creatures make two different reverberations.
