My tutoring experience is almost done now. I have tutored for the third quarter, and have completed all that is needed for the letter grade of an A.
             Most of my tutoring responsibilities have been pretty consistent. Everyday during tenth hour, Kasondra, Shane, and Chris come over to the library and we sit at the back table, where I help them with homework if they need it, and explain anything confusing them. For the most part it has been Math, Spelling, and Science homework they have brought in to me. There has been an occasional History assignment however. Once in awhile, mostly during ninth hour, I will help Beth out with grading papers, but she pretty much handles that herself. If Beth is absent I will make copies and grade papers for Mr. L. and Mrs. S.
             Tutoring this quarter has really expanded my education. I know what it is like to work with students that have trouble learning or comprehending something, and I realize how you need to act and carry yourself. You have to be patient, and can't look down on them and act a lot older. They won't want to learn if you act threatening and impatient. I learned you must first gain their friendship for them to trust you, and I believe I have done just that. I look forward to seeing them each day and want to help them in anyway I can.
             This experience will help me decide what type of career I want in the future. Before tutoring I was thinking of the Law/Criminal Justice field, but now teaching or nursing with children sounds fun and rewarding. I came to this conclusion when all three students came back with their Math quizzes and two of them received an 11/12, and the other student received a 10/12. I felt I had made a difference, and would like to continue that in the future. I have also learned how to explain stuff better. When you're working with younger students, it helps you understand what words and examples are better to use. I believe
