Parents are there to give you give you confidence, advice, hope, support, and encouragment. All of these qualities are important for the simple fact that without that push and disipline you wouldn't have the passion to strive to achieve your goals . We all need someone to believe in us and show they care. The poem "The Road not Taken" by, Robert Frost gives you a different aspect of an understanding of life and teaches you that you're not alone in your every day decisions. It also shows that the impact of one individual's decisions will affect decisions down the road, and some may be more life changing than others. In any case you have to make many choices in life and there's at least one that will forever change your life, plus you'll never know the importance of your decision until you take the risk , you can't be afraid your going to make a mistake. I know in my life my parents have had a huge influence on many of the decisions I've made . I don't know who I'd be without them or where I'd be or what I'd be doing. We all need a push somone to tell us to walk that extra mile or do the dishes. One thing which stood out in Frost's poem was that once you make your choice choose your "path" you can't look back and dwell on all the what ifs you have to life and make the most of what you have.
             As we grow up and become individuals and find out who we are we have to come to the understand and recognition that our parents indeed had a huge part in who we were and who we become . We don't quite understand why when we're younger our parents do the things they do or are so hard on however as I reach a time in my life were everything seems to be falling into place I realize my parents had the biggest impact of who I am today.
