I think the Angela Carter story that interested me the most would have to be Puss in Boots. I chose this story because I found it interesting how the tomcat and female cat were in complete control of getting the princess to fall for master. I especially thought it was interesting how the master did not stereotypically have all the control over the plans the cats had executed, such as the rat- catching service and becoming a fake doctor. Although it seems like the tomcat was in control of strategizing the plans, the female cat had more rational ideas. In any event, the cats made these plans together, and it goes to show you how sometimes two minds are better than one. As a result of this decision making, they both fall in love, and the female cat ends up having triplets.
             I also found it interesting how the princess finally meets the guy she wants to spend the rest of her life with. I felt a lot of courage and determination from Master, because although all the women he comes across love him, he was chasing after this Princess for 27 years. He even wrote a 10- page letter to her! I remember her original, impotent husband saying "what a good bargain" as he touched and smacked her buttocks while in bed. But why would he say and do something like that if he's impotent? It almost sounded like the husband did not love the Princess after all. Perhaps the real reason why the Princess ended up marrying her first husband to begin with was because of his money. Then throughout the story, the old hag tried to discourage the Princess from being with master. The old hag is miserable, lonely, and hates kittens. Therefore, she may have been trying to place some of her misery on the Princess by making her second guess marrying the Master. When the Master and the Princess have sex twice, I think the old hag's void of loneliness is being filled by sneaking up on them. She probably knew what was going on inside the Princess' ...
