Abortion; for some reason being a teenager in the 90's and even more so in 2004, the subject comes up more than most like to believe. It is a touchy subject with the older generation and is coming into play more as young people speak out. It is logical to believe that younger people in America are more apt to be Pro-Choice and the older citizens are generally Pro-Life. In our changing society, the topic of sex is becoming a much more open subject than it ever was. Young teens are having sex at a much earlier age and are thus interested in controlling pregnancy and birth. Age certainly plays a role in determining your position on abortion. Abortion was a topic during the 2004 presidential elections but not a deciding factor of presidency. I think the abortion issue brought more young people out to vote. Attitudes leaning towards Pro-Life can usually be closely tied to religious beliefs. Religion is also an institution that is more common among the older generation than the new. Personally, being young and non-religious, I am Pro-Choice. I believe that if a woman wishes to do so, she should be able to have an abortion at her will and freedom. Abortion should be legal because people may have circumstances or accidents where they would need one, because there is a growing abundance of teen mothers in our society, and because not everyone believes in the religion that preaches anti-abortion.
             It is not unheard of that abortion is some women's sole form of birth control. While I believe that the general use of an abortion does not conflict with morals, I feel that this abusive use of abortion is immoral. For the case of those women who can't seem to scrape up four dollars for a box of condoms, I dare say they do not deserve to have the privilege of abortion.
