The thoughts of what I was going to do was going to do the next day went through my head. Finally I did go to sleep but then the alarm woke me up to its ear splitting buzz. My hands having a mind of its own pressed the off button with effort. My eyes squinted to see the time 8:00AM. For me this was too early on a day of vacation. I finally got up and began to get ready for volunteer work at a Nursing Home.
             Today was my first day of volunteer and I wasn't thrilled at all. My idea of vacation was to sit around. This year I had been bugging my parents for a job and they thought working at a Nursing Home would give me first hand experience at work. While I was in the car my mind as all jumbled up in what to expect. I didn't want to push around patients or read or talk to them. As I begin to find an excuse to go back home my mom pulled the car into the parking lot. I got out of the car and walked with determination towards the Nursing Home that I would be working at for the whole summer.
             I entered the Nursing Home with curiosity. I looked around and realized it's what I expected. The rooms had a hospital bed that can be adjusted. Also it had a T.V on top of a table. I entered the elevator with my mom and went to the third floor. Once I was at the third floor I went to the Volunteer Office. The Volunteer Office looked like any other office, but smaller. The lady named Sherry there saw me and told me to come in and sign in. I sat on the chair with the armrest and looked around. She told that I would me working at the Oasis Gift Shop. I just looked at her with surprise. I thought I was working at the Nursing Home and reading to some old people. She realized this from my confused expression and told me the patients usually come here to get food and gifts.
