Education plays a major key role in everyone's life. No matter what kind of situation you are in, you must find the time to talk and educate your children. With the materialized life that we lead, it is necessary for both parents to have jobs in order to make ends meet in most cases. Sometimes, in this fast paced life, we forget how important it is to be there for your children at a young age. It is crucial to set a good example for your children to follow all the days of their lives.
Growing up there was not much talk about how important education was. My parents both had jobs and by the time they came home to me, the nights were gone before you knew it. They were not able to talk to me about how important it would be to my future to study and do well in school. They always told me to do good but did not stress enough that one day I would need it for college. No one in my family went to college so it was not known how it could benefit me one day. I grew up in Michigan where most people got jobs in the auto industry, which required no college. When I moved down south, the jobs were different and most required some college or technical training in order to make a good living.
Once I got older, my priorities changed and I got off track and quit school at the age of
seventeen. I really had no ideas of what I wanted to do with my life. My quest for beginning my life started out with many ideas but I came to realize that I wanted much more. Without a college education, I could not go the places that I wanted. I got a good job but the stress from mental and physical challenges soon took a toll on me.
